The primary school offers a bilingual model of education with a choice of the main language of instruction - Russian or English.

The Primary School programme is designed for students in Grades 1-5. It is an international, interdisciplinary programme designed to support the child's development in and out of school. The programme combines the best teaching methods from different educational approaches to create a relevant and attractive educational environment for every student.

Inquiry is the approach we use to immerse students in learning content in the classroom.

Students in Grades 1-5 undertake six global themes during the academic year. The broad and balanced curriculum not only develops academic knowledge, but also helps the students to transfer what they have learnt to different areas of life.

Action

Action is the next component of our programme, aimed at the practical application of the students' learning and developing their awareness. We place particular emphasis on project-based activities, which include:

  • Individual and group projects as part of the research curriculum
  • Social and environmental initiatives
  • Participation in school assemblies and extra-curricular activities

Grade 5 pupils prepare a specific project ‘The Exhibition’. This is a meaningful event where pupils demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout primary school. Pupils choose a topic they are passionate about, research it, develop a project and present their findings in front of the whole school community.

Reflection

Reflection is an important stage in the learning process that helps students reflect on their achievements and understand how they can apply what they have learnt in the future. Reflection includes:
