Trinity Secondary School currently offers two learning streams: English and Bilingual. Both streams share the IB approach to teaching and learning. In the English stream, the language of instruction is English, and the aim is to prepare students for access to universities in Europe and beyond. In the Bilingual stream, the students study some of their subjects in English, some in Russian, and receive the Cypriot Apolytirion (school leavers’ certificate) on successful completion of their studies

IB MYP (Middle Years Programme)

Trinity is a Candidate School* for the MYP programme. This school is pursuing authorisation as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy — a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Trinity school believes is important for our students.

 The IB programme is based on the development of the IB Learner Profile, which includes key qualities that contribute to the holistic growth of individuals for effective interaction within the global community. The MYP is based on conceptual understanding and inquiry. Students explore local and global issues and learn how to make connections between their disciplinary knowledge and the real world situations. Concepts help them to apply their knowledge in unfamiliar contexts and develop skills that will help them to become lifelong learners. Through the development of Approaches to Learning skills (ATL), students “learn how to learn” in a holistic framework where social, thinking, research, communication, and self-management skills become lifelong learning tools.
