On Sunday, 9 November 2025, Trinity Private School in Limassol hosted the Super Chess Heroes Youth Tournament in collaboration with the Shah Mat Masters Chess Academy.
A total of 96 young chess players competed across five age categories — U06, U08, U10, U12, and U18 — demonstrating remarkable focus, creativity, and perseverance.
The tournament highlighted the core values nurtured through chess: patience, critical thinking, and respect. Every participant showed courage, discipline, and a genuine passion for learning, reflecting the true essence of the game.
“Events like this remind us that education extends far beyond the classroom,” a Trinity representative noted. “Chess helps children think ahead, make thoughtful decisions, and appreciate the importance of perseverance and integrity.”
Special thanks are extended to the volunteers and organisers who supported the success of the day: Trinity Secondary students Artem Iankin, Mark and Michael Shkvorets; Chief Arbiter Maria Anna Stefanidi; the judging panel Christos Karamaniolas, Anna Kailou, Valentin Paunescu, Ivan Nadych, and Michail Serebryaniy; and Afterschool Coordinator Daria Kantaeva for her guidance and dedication.
The cooperation between Trinity Private School and Shah Mat Masters Chess Academy continues to inspire young learners and promote fair play, collaboration, and lifelong learning through chess.
Enrollment at school takes place after introductory conversations with students and parents. Book a meeting to learn more about Trinity Private School and discuss the most important thing - the future of your child.
